Turn People Also Ask Questions Into Easy Traffic, Authority, and Sales

Targeting People Also Ask questions with short, easy to write pages.

This is a cool SEO trick that:

  • Builds authority in your topic.
  • Lets you funnel authority to pages with more commercial value (bottom-of-funnel SEO landing pages).
  • Gets you a lot of SEO traffic.
  • Is easy.
  • Gives you people to move down your marketing funnel (newsletter, lead magnets, various CTAs).

1. Gather the questions

Go to https://alsoasked.com/.

The founder, Mark Williams-Cook, came on my podcast a few days ago. I didn’t know about this tool before then, but it’s exactly what I’ve been looking for.

It gives you People Also Ask questions in your niche – straight from Google Search results. No guessing questions (which a lot of other similar tools do).

These are questions that people search for, which is why Google has them in its results.

Using alsoasked.com to get People Also Ask questions for 3D printing.

Also Asked gives you a tree of People Also Ask questions from Google, which you can click into to get more People Also Ask questions.

Copy all the questions that are relevant to you.

2. Get the content written

Give the questions to Perplexity.

Use the prompt, “Write around 120 word plain text answers for each question returned inside a single code block with no citations.”

Edit for your brand voice, accuracy, and remove em dashes and other AI giveaways.

Create a subfolder like /3d-printing-faq/. The subfolder is linked to in your footer under a Resources section, “3D Printing FAQ.”

Within the subfolder is a list of your People Also Ask questions. I’d recommend having the page be stylized and organized with H2 headings so it doesn’t look like a basic list of hyperlinks on a white background.

Each question and answer pair has its own page.

/3d-printing-faq/can-you-legally-sell-3d-printed-items/

Paste your answers into each corresponding page.

3. Start ranking

Many People Also Ask questions are under-targeted and easy to rank for.

This works well, especially for newer sites.

Submit your subfolder to Google Search Console. Wait to start ranking.

Submit your FAQ hub page in the top bar of Google Search Console.

4. Build out the pages that are ranking

This is where things become fun.

Now you have some of these pages that are ranking.

Invest further in them. Build them out:

  • Add relevant sections, which allows the pages to rank for even more keywords and bring more relevant organic traffic.
  • Add CTAs, lead magnets, not-super-intrusive popups in order to get people into your funnel.
  • Interlink to relevant bottom-of-funnel SEO landing pages which you want to rank higher.
    • Bottom-of-funnel SEO landing pages specifically target searchers who are looking for a brand to convert with – they just don’t know the brand. These pages have tremendous conversion rates because again, searchers are literally looking to convert.
      • Think keywords like:
        voice note recorder for dentists
        handmade artisan ceramic mugs
        emergency lawn drain repair boston
    • By interlinking to these pages from pages that are already ranking (your People Also Ask pages), you pass authority to them, making them better able to rank for their target high-intent keywords.

Rank for more

With not a lot of work you’ve just:

  • Made your more lucrative SEO pages rank higher.
  • Gotten people into your funnel for free.
  • Increased the topical authority of your website, making it easier in general to rank in your niche.

This is a cool trick, I hope you’ll try it.

Bottom-of-funnel SEO

SEO is the most amazing marketing channel because it lets you target qualified people eagerly looking to convert – for free.

And usually these search terms, like the People Also Ask questions, are under-targeted and easy to rank for.

You don’t need to pay for ads to reach your target buyers, you just need to know how to:

  • Find the right search terms.
  • Make the conversion-based pages for them (not blog posts, pages).
  • Structure your site for these pages.

Most advanced SEOs eventually make it to this method, but it takes them years and years of expensive trial and error.

If you’d like to save years, money, and headache learning this – it’s exactly what my SEO course, Compact Keywords, teaches.

Compact Keywords is entirely about bottom-of-funnel SEO and how to do it in a way that is in line with what search engines want to give users and what LLMs care about.

The course is getting raving testimonials.

A Compact Keywords testimonial from Dennis Dickmann, "I wanted to share some exciting news. I’ve finally taken the leap and I am now officially self-employed! As of three days ago, everything is official. What started as a side project is now my full time business, and I’m finally independent and no longer tied to an agency. Your course and our exchange played a huge part in getting me to this point. So THANK YOU again!"

Booked about $100,000 of business through SEO in my first year with the Compact Keywords method.
– Robert Brill

I’m now ranking #1 on Google for 25+ keywords and hundreds on Bing – with a new site – after starting Compact Keywords only two months ago. Everyone needs to take this. You will see results you can’t even comprehend.
– Jacob Darrah

Now I have more than 20 pages ranking #1 and #2 for my company.
– Alejandro Morelli

Compact Keywords was able to pay for itself in about a month and nine days.
– Angel Olavarria

These pages drove an extra $3 million in revenue from organic search over the following year. I’m not an SEO, I focus on PPC, but helped implement this strategy for a market leader (in a finance niche).
