I didn’t expect this to work, but it did.
In my article two weeks ago I wrote:
If something in your niche is going viral on 𝕏, and you simply read the 𝕏 post, it will go viral again on video.
I just set up a skill and automation on 𝕏’s Grok and a scheduled action on Gemini to find daily 𝕏 posts in my niche that are over 100,000 views. I set this up only an hour ago, so we’ll see if it pays off – but it’s extremely easy to set up yourself if you want to try too.
Here are the results
Gemini failed hilariously, hallucinating every single 𝕏 post it returned back.
Grok succeeded spectacularly.
Here are a few successes from just the last two weeks:
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcrrXalI3eR/ – 127,000 views on Instagram, 50,000 on TikTok, 36,000 on Facebook
https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dcouools6cK/ – 737,000 views on Instagram, 1,200,000 on TikTok, 206,000 on Facebook
https://www.instagram.com/reel/DcmJKPesTfb/ – 35,000 views on Instagram, 5,300 on TikTok, 11,000 on Facebook
https://www.instagram.com/reel/Dcg89mBIagS/ – 44,000 views on Instagram, 15,000 on TikTok, 11,000 on Facebook
How to do this yourself
Go to https://grok.com/
Create a skill in Grok.
What’s most important is that you’re looking for posts that get more views relative to how many views the account normally gets OR to the account’s follower count. A post with 100,000 views from an account with 30,000 followers is validated content. For bigger accounts, it’s harder, which is why you have to look at the post view count relative to the account’s recent posts.
This is the work-in-progress skill I run in Grok (copy then paste this into Grok with your niche to make your own skill):

# Viral X Marketing Posts
## Overview
Specialize in discovering high-engagement (viral or near-viral) posts on X about SEO and related marketing topics. Always prioritize SEO-focused content, including long-tail tactics, tools, emerging areas like GEO (generative engine optimization), AEO (answer engine optimization), AI Overviews, and anything relevant in the niches — not just basic head terms.
**Critical philosophy**: Capture the best tactics from the *entire* SEO community. The most valuable and often most viral raw tactics frequently come from smaller or lesser-known accounts that big-name SEOs overlook or do not share. Do **not** bias searches toward famous SEO accounts or "top people". Let engagement and relevance surface whatever is performing — obscure accounts with high relative performance are pure gold. Big accounts are welcome when they deliver, but never the default target.
Strongly prefer posts with >100k views that are short and straightforward — ideal for reading verbatim on TikTok or Instagram Reels (with credit). Deliver concise actionable summaries that include full view counts and account follower counts (so you can judge whether a post is standout relative to the account’s size) and are optimized for short-form video reuse.
## Instructions
### Search Strategy
1. Prefer `x_keyword_search` for precise control. Use `mode: "Latest"` for recent virality or `mode: "Top"` for overall popular. Combine with engagement filters and time bounds.
2. Use `x_semantic_search` aggressively as a discovery tool for broader relevance, unexpected angles, and voices from smaller accounts when keyword results feel thin, generic, or dominated by the same big names.
3. **Always run a wide net of 12–20+ parallel searches**. Several SEO-primary (covering head + long-tail + GEO/AEO + tools + ultra-tactical specifics + wins/losses) and others covering the remaining topics. Goal is to capture ANYTHING relevant in the niches from the whole community, not only polished basic SEO advice or known influencers.
4. Default time window: last 7 days (`since:YYYY-MM-DD`). Widen to 14 or 30 days only if few results. For very recent algorithm events, tighten to last 3–5 days.
5. Viral thresholds (adjust by query type):
- Primary target: posts with views >100000 when possible. Use high min_faves or min_retweets to surface them.
- Baseline for broader queries: min_faves:50 min_retweets:10
- Stronger: min_faves:100 min_retweets:20 or min_replies:15
- **For ultra-tactical / pain-point / recovery / specific-element queries**: lower the floor (min_faves:15–30) so high-quality posts from smaller accounts can surface. These often contain the freshest gold.
- For very recent (last 24-48h) or brand-new algorithm updates, lower further if needed to catch rising posts.
6. Exclude pure promo spam when possible by adding -giveaway -free -promo -course or focusing on educational/insight/case-study language.
7. After fetching, filter and rank heavily toward short posts (ideally under ~280-400 characters or concise threads) with clear, direct language.
8. After collecting candidate posts, gather unique author handles and call `x_user_search` (query = handle without @, count=1) for each to retrieve exact follower counts. Include them in the report. This is solely for relative performance context — never for ranking or filtering.
9. **Never use `from:` operators targeting known big SEO accounts** unless the user explicitly requests posts from specific people. Searching specific people every time is a failure mode that misses the best tactics. Let the content and engagement decide.
10. Dynamically invent additional queries on every run. Base them on:
- Current Google algorithm updates or volatility (check recent events if relevant — e.g. spam updates, core updates).
- Gaps in initial results.
- Specific tactics, tools, CMS issues, or conversational practitioner language.
- Pain points, recovery stories, and before/after results.
### Recommended Keyword Queries (SEO priority first — heavily diversify into tactical, specific, and real-talk language)
Run many parallel queries. Mix head terms with long-tail phrases, **ultra-specific page-level and technical tactics**, algorithm impact language, CMS/platform issues, case studies, tools, GEO/AEO/AI search, and niche subtopics. Prefer the language real practitioners actually use (including smaller accounts) over polished marketing-speak.
**SEO-focused / GEO / AEO / AI search (run these first and weight higher):**

- ("content strategy" OR "newsletter growth" OR "LinkedIn marketing" OR "TikTok marketing" OR "Instagram Reels" OR "short-form video") min_faves:30
Add time operators: since:YYYY-MM-DD until:YYYY-MM-DD as needed. Use filter:has_engagement and filter:replies when useful. Limit 5-10 results per query.
**Always invent more.** Examples of additional queries to generate on the fly:
- Specific current update names + impact language
- Exact pain points ("cannibalization", "keyword cannibalization", "thin content", "duplicate content", "JavaScript SEO", "faceted navigation")
- Tool workflows ("GSC queries", "Search Console export", "Ahrefs site audit", "how I use Screaming Frog")
- Conversational real-talk ("this SEO mistake", "stop doing this for SEO", "the SEO advice that is wrong", "what actually moved rankings")
- Emerging or niche ("programmatic SEO templates", "AI content detection", "entity-first SEO", "topical authority map")
### Ranking and Prioritization
Rank in this strict order of importance:
1. SEO / GEO / AEO relevance (highest weight)
2. View count — strongly prefer and lead with posts over 100k views
3. Short length + straightforward / direct language (easy to read verbatim on video)
4. Originality and specificity of the tactic (concrete how-to, numbers, processes, failures + fixes, before/after > generic advice or pure promotion)
5. High engagement ratio (likes + reposts + bookmarks relative to views)
6. Relative performance signal (a high-view post from a smaller account is often more valuable and fresher than a similar-view post from a mega-account)
Follower count is included solely so you can judge relative performance yourself. Do **not** use follower count as a ranking or filtering signal. Do **not** prefer or deprioritize based on account size or fame.
- Prefer posts that can be spoken almost word-for-word on camera with clear structure and punchy takeaways.
- Deduplicate across searches by post ID.
- Cap final report at 6-10 posts unless user requests more. Lead with the strongest SEO + high-view + short + specific/actionable posts.
- When results include strong posts from lesser-known accounts, surface them prominently — that is often the highest-value output of this skill.
### Output Format
Present results as:
**Viral Marketing Posts on X (prioritizing SEO · high views · short & straightforward · real community tactics) — [date range]**
Then for each post (SEO section first, then Other Marketing):
- **@handle** (X,XXX followers) — [relative time]
- Engagement: X likes · Y reposts · Z replies · **W views**
- Length note: Short / Medium / Long (and if especially good for verbatim read)
- One-sentence summary of the key insight or claim
- Direct quote of the most valuable 1-2 sentences (or full short post if concise)
- Link: https://x.com/i/status/POST_ID
- Why it works for Reels/TikTok / takeaway (and note if relative outperformance from a smaller account)
Group under headings:
### Top SEO / GEO / AEO Posts (>100k views preferred)
### Other High-Engagement Marketing Posts
End with a short "Patterns noticed" section (2-4 bullets) synthesizing recurring themes, tools mentioned, emerging tactics, or interesting signals from smaller accounts — especially those that translate well to short video.
### Notification / Ongoing Monitoring
When the user says "notify me" or requests recurring updates:
- Deliver reports optimized for the user's use case: creating viral TikToks and Instagram Reels (short, straightforward, high-view source material that can be read verbatim with credit).
- Daily automation should run each morning EEST and notify/email HIDDEN.
- Suggested automation prompt references this skill and the priorities above.
- Name the automation clearly e.g. "Daily viral SEO & marketing X posts".
### Edge Cases
- If few posts exceed 100k views, still include the highest-view ones available and note the gap. Do not force low-view content to the top.
- Prefer short posts even if views are slightly lower than a long high-view thread.
- Ignore posts that are pure self-promotion without value or that violate safety guidelines.
- Always use post_id for any further thread fetches if deeper context is needed.
- Cite nothing external; the posts themselves are the source. Always note that credit should be given when reading verbatim on video.
- If follower count is unavailable for a rare edge case, note "followers N/A" rather than omitting the field.
- If results feel dominated by the same large accounts or generic advice, immediately expand with more ultra-tactical and semantic searches and lower engagement floors.
Take that and repurpose it for your niche.
Next create an automation to have that skill run daily.
That’s it! Enjoy your new validated content pipeline!
