This article is a grab bag of actionable advice from my daily podcast and will be especially helpful for:
- Creators.
- 9-5 employees wanting a better job.
- People interested in growing a brand.
💎 #1: One great idea is worth a million mediocre ones
I’ve been binging MrBeast interviews and behind-the-scenes, taking notes on anything valuable (and there’s a lot).
A recurring piece of advice in interviews is to spend extra time ideating. “I can put $4,000,000 and a lot of effort into a video that’s an okay idea or spend a bit of extra time to make sure the idea is great, and the increase in views will totally outweigh the extra time it took to come up with the idea.”
I just did this. I changed my TikTok format to 1-minute bios on people. I made the change this week.
I immediately broke a several-month plateau and have had two videos this week get hundreds of thousands of views.
I’m spending the same time making content as last week or the week before, but my videos get far more qualified views.

💎 #2: All the FAANG companies want to hire my friend
I had dinner and soju with a friend who’s an engineer at the New York Times this week.
He told me that all the top big tech companies want to hire him, and he has his pick whenever he wants. Why?
He throws low-key tech & beer meetups every month – doesn’t take much work or stress, either.
Companies want to hire him because they’re getting a brand ambassador. These meetups also give him job protection – not a good idea to brutally fire the super-connected employee throwing tech events.
Finally, these meetups give him clout, and the low time and stress investment makes it totally worth it.

#3: This content strategy got Easlo to half a million in profit so far this year
I made a 1-minute video about this, which is going viral on TikTok.
