Most websites can rank for way more keywords than they realize.
But digital marketing gurus for years have advised overcomplicating things.
The greatest trick in Google Search right now isn’t even a trick… it’s just practical UI/UX thinking.
But it works.
Principle

Target keyword (thing people search in Google): “growth hacking newsletter.”
Page gives visitors everything they need before they start scrolling.
Headline addresses the keyword. Supporting evidence is given.
Visitors can opt in right there.
Ranks 1 for “growth hacking newsletter.”

Targeting keywords around “AI chatbot development company” / “AI chatbot development services.”
People putting these things into Google know what they’re looking for.
They land on this page. The page gives them what they’re looking for before they have to scroll. Button right there to request a consultation.
No endless scrolling or confused searching. No fluff. Simple and straightforward.
Page ranks 1 for “AI chatbot development company” and “AI chatbot development services” (and many other similar keywords).

Targeting keywords around “photoshoot NYC.”
Everything necessary is given before visitor scrolls. They can click into a calendar and book right away or get somebody from the map.
Conversion is super easy.
Ranks 1 for keywords like “photoshoot NYC.”
Many gurus would tell you you need long pages to show up on Google for what you want.
You don’t.
This is the entire page.

Everything the visitor wants is given before they start scrolling. That’s it.
In fact, this works so well, they have these pages templatized and reused across locations.

Ranks for keywords like “photoshoot Los Angeles,” “photoshoot Chicago,” etc.
The founders of that company (Shoott) are great – they came on my podcast a few days ago to share their digital marketing strategies:
Anyway.
You don’t need long pages.
You don’t need SEO magic.
Just give searchers what they want before they start scrolling.
Backlinks
BY THE WAY… As long as companies are active with marketing, over time they usually naturally acquire enough backlinks to organically go after keywords like these.
(A backlink, if you don’t know, is when a website links to your site. This tells Google you are authoritative. Going after backlinks aggressively is most helpful for new websites, websites changing topics, or websites going after very competitive keywords.)
Google is a lot like TikTok now
Clicking into a website from Google Search is like falling for the hook on a TikTok video.
Not bouncing on a webpage is like watching the video through and liking it.
Give searchers what they want before they start scrolling and they won’t bounce. They will instead thank you with their conversions.
